Gents 4BBB
On Saturday, the gents played in a 4BBB. Considering overnight rain and the subsequent boggy course we had some good scores in and it was very tight at the top of the leader board. In 3rd place we had Graeme Wagster and Graeme Grieve who scored a great score of 42 points. Just one shot ahead in 2nd place were John Bianchi and Rob Thorneycroft with 43 points.
But out in front with a fantastic score, considering the conditions, of 44 points were Martin Jackson and Simon Moorehouse. Here they are pictured with the Captain after their win. Well don't to all the winners in Saturday's comp.

We have some fitting days coming up soon, which are a great way to test out the newest and best clubs on the market and find out which are best suited to your game. Nixon's New Custom Clubs
Paul Nixon is our latest member to get himself a new set of bats from us in the shop. Paul got fitted by Nick and has got himself a new set of Callaway Steelhead Pro irons fitted with a Project X 6.0 shafts.

WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play
The big one this week on the tour is the WGC Match Play, a very fun tournament in run the run up to the Masters. Everyone loves to watch and play match play, so much so that Jordan Speith went as far as saying he would like one of the majors to be in a match play format.
Match play hasn't been used in majors since the 1957 PGA Championship, but Spieth would support using the format again in a future major. We can't see this happening but would certainly support the idea of having more match play events with all the top players on the tour.
Rory McIlroy is hoping to settle an old score with US rival Patrick Reed if the two progress to the latter stages of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play at the Austin Country Club this week. The Northern Irishman was defeated by Reed after an epic battle in front of a hostile crowd on the final day of last year's Ryder Cup at Hazeltine. And McIlroy admits he has not forgotten the loss and would relish an opportunity to have another crack at Reed should the two men meet again this week in Texas, we hope they meet each other in the final, it would certainly be a special event worth watching.
