Club Competition
On Saturday, we had our rearranged Taylor Memorial major competition in a medal format. The foursomes that were arranged for Saturday have been rearranged to this weekend and the following stableford we are still trying to find a spot for, unfortunately it may be cancelled. Anyway, in the Taylor, James Robson came in with a 74 nett which was good enough to come in third place. James however was narrowly beaten by Mike Harrington with 73, and playing off a handicap of +2, Mike shot the lowest gross of the day (71). But the winner of the competition was young Tom Hollingworth (72) who has a had a great season bringing his handicap down from low teens all the way down to 4, well done Tom! Time to get on that PGA course?
On Tuesday, the ladies had their Medal Winners Final, the winners from previous medals had their own small competition to see who was the overall medal winner of the season. In third place was Jean Duncan, in second place was Emma Bolam and the winner of the Ladies Medal Winners Final with a very good score of 73 was Jenny Purves. Well done Jenny! The Subsidiary Stableford was won by Alex Forbes with 38 points.
Well done to all the winners in last week’s competitions.
