AmAm Stableford On Saturday we had an AmAm Stableford, a League of Merit Qualifier for the gents, with the best two of out of four scores qualifying. In third place were Alastair Kennedy, Peter Stephenson, Steve Leavitt and Richard Atkinson who managed 83 points. Only just ahead of them with an equally good, but slightly ahead on a card play-off, with a score of 83 were Vinod Dave, Edward Pysden, Neil Bromley, Garry Titchen. But the winners on the day, winning by just one point, were Tony Ward, Ken Jee, Andrew Pawlowski and William Kennedy. Ladies Par Competition
On Tuesday the ladies played in a Par competition, split into two divisions. In Division Two it was very tight at the top, with four ladies all scoring 0. Jenny Purves, Linda Miller and Alison Hallworth all scored 0, but it was Val McGuigan that managed to take first prize on a card play-off. In Division One we had a couple of very good scores; Barbara Boyd managed a very good score of 2 but that was only good enough for second place as Nicky Markland did even better and got a score of 3! Well done to all our winners in last week’s competitions. New Mixed Pools
This Saturday we will be running the New Mixed Pools again. Our new pools that have replaced the old pools that were seemingly growing less popular by the year. You simply enter in the Pro Shop on the day and you can have any combination of 3 ball, so you can have three gents or three ladies or two of one and one of the other. Entry is £2 per head and the winner takes it all! Depending on the success of this competition it may or may not replace the old pool permanently.
