On Saturday the weather made for some very interesting golf with torrential rain and lightning coming to the course over towards the end of the day. Luckily it wasn’t around for long meaning we could finish the competitions. The ladies Saturday medal was only a small field with four ladies playing but still gave us some good scoring. The winner with a gross score of 78 playing of a handicap of 5 was Josephine Harrison. On the same Saturday the men played their medal competition. There were 2 divisions being played, with Daniel Farrer winning division 2 with a nett score of 68. Division 1 was a close one with 2 players tied for the win, John Kennerly and George Payne both shot a score of 68 but with a better back nine score George took top honours. The final competition was the mixed Greensomes stableford competition played on the Sunday. We had a brilliant turnout for this competition with a total of 37 pairs taking part in the competition. In a tie for second place was John and Margaret Simons and Tracy and Gary Titchen on a stableford score of 39 points but the winners where Dave and Amy Anson with a terrific score of 44 points. Congratulations to all the winners over the past week.
