| [*END*] Welcome to another exciting edition of our weekly newsletter, I hope you've had a great week on and off the course. Enjoy the read! |
Latest Results The first competition to go through was another well attended Midweek Stableford on Wednesday, we had 41 gents playing on the day with the course looking superb for this time of year. Peter Atherton and Stephen Smith both occupied 3rd place on 35 points, with Alan Hare just taking second place on 36 points. The winner though with a brilliant total was Mike Murray. Mike scored 40 points to comfortably take the win of the last Midweek Stableford of this season. |
The next event was the Autumn Captains Team Vs President Team fixture played on Saturday, a brilliant day with 52 players taking part in what can be described as tough playing conditions, with winds swirling up to 45 miles an hour it’s safe to say it wasn’t easy. We had some fantastic matches over the day with the top match going in the favour of Joe and the Captain after taking the win after 17 holes. Over the course of the day we had 13 matches being played with only 1 ending in a friendly halve, safe to say everyone was out to win.
The end result however was 6 ½ to 6 ½, but as you can see by the picture the night is all about the fun of the day and the comradery between the members with everyone joining in with the laughter and jokes. Such a great day and night, thanks to everyone who attended and everyone who helped out over the day. Thanks to Richard, Claire and Neil for a cracking dinner and service. |

The last competition to look at is the Ladies 18 and 9-hole Competitions on Tuesday, starting with the 9-hole competition. The winner was Janet Higson who scored 14 points to take the win. In the 18-hole competition we had 2 divisions, starting off with the division 2 which was won by Melanie Williams who scored 37 points to take the win. In division 1 we had Caroline Harrison-Croft as the winner also with 37 points, congrats to all the winning ladies this week! |
Joe’s Captain Vs President
It was a nice change of pace for me this year with being invited to play with the Captain against Nick and the President. This gave me a chance to interact with the members around the clubhouse and on the course instead of just in the shop. I enjoyed the whole day and really appreciate getting the invite from the Captain and President, also nice not to let the Captain down and get the win for his team, making sure I left him the wining putt for the match. Once again thank you for the invite, hope to have another invite back!

When you step onto the tee with a driver in hand, there are two thoughts in most golfers' minds: "Hit it far, and hit it straight". Both of these were easier said than done, until Titleist released its new TS2 and TS3 drivers earlier this year... |
Both of these drivers are designed to bring more speed to your game, which results in greater distance. It's as simple as that. The Titleist TS2 is all about forgiveness. In fact, it has the highest MOI that Titleist has ever produced, which means it's more resistant to twisting at impact, for longer and straighter shots. However, if you have a consistent miss with your drives, the TS3 will be perfect for you as we can set it up to counter your destructive shot. With two models to choose from, it's more important than ever to come and see us for a custom fitting. What numbers will you be putting up on the Titleist board? |
