Competition news

Turkey Trot

Just a small segment on competition news this week with only 1 competition being played, this was the Men’s 14-Hole Turkey Trot. There was only 57 entries with some good scoring in testing conditions throughout the course of the day.

There was an interesting finish with 3 players tied on 30 points, in third place was Anthony Wright who scored 8 points over the back 5 holes, he was just beaten by Vinod Dave who scored 9 points on the back 5 to take second place.

The winner this week was Peter Atherton, he scored 11 points on the back 5 holes to take the win.

Congratulations Peter, great win!

Good Luck Bel

We’d just like to wish Bel Wardle good luck in the final stage of ladies’ European Tour Qualifying School. Held in Morocco over 5 rounds, it is the final step to getting her professional card.

The first round will commence on the 16th of December, you can click here to follow her progress throughout the week.

Rules Evening

I'd just like to say a massive thankyou to everyone that came to the rules evening on the 30th November, really appreciated the support and I hope everyone enjoyed it, had some great feedback over the past few days.

Big thanks also to the catering staff and bar staff that stayed late on the night!

Pro's news

Joe's Residential

Joe will be once again attending the PGA residential in his last year doing the training before he becomes a fully qualified PGA professional. Over the course of the 5 days he will be attending classes such as business management, applied coaching and finally custom fitting. He will also be doing a practical exam while there which involves custom building a golf club to a certain specification.

Hopefully everything will go well, and he can tick another stage off the list in completing the PGA qualification.
