On Saturday 6th December we had a Turkey Trot Stableford. This was a comp for a Meat Voucher courtesy of Nigel Wilcox to help you get a great dinner on the table on the 25th. In third place was our Captain with a score of 29 points. Then in 2nd place, beating the Captain on a card count back was Gordan Reilly. But in first place and winner of the fabulous meat voucher was Matthew Bowden with a score of 30 points. Well done to Matthew

This week is going to be the fith of our 9 disciplines. Over the next couple of months, each week we will give you a different short game exercise to help you improve your scoring. Each exercise will be short and sweet and designed to help your short game. These drills are designed to help you score better, so try to do them as you would on the course. What we mean by this is don't just hit ball after ball. Between each shot make sure you stand away from the ball and think about what you are going to try and achieve with your next shot. Maybe even hitting some long shots between to try and recreate what it would be like in the course. These drills will not help you improve unless you have the discipline to do them properly. Use 10 balls so the drill doesn't take too long and doesn't take up too much of your time. Keep a diary to keep your scores and do the drill 2 or 3 times throughout the week and see if your scores improve.
