I think there is only one place to start this weeks newsletter and that is with the passing of the voice of golf Peter Allis.

I was fortunate to have met Peter at a PGA function many moons ago when he was a guest speaker.

Known the world over for his wonderful golf commentary he was also a very fine player in his youth but unfortunately, the flat stick let him down!

However, it meant that he could keep us entertained in a different way and I must admit that the world is a sadder place without him.

My thoughts go out to his family in what is a tough time.

It will be strange to watch the Race to Dubai on TV this year having been there for the past few years, but hopefully, with the Covid vaccine starting to be available, maybe I could make it back next year (As I do like a bit of sun at this time of year).

However, talking of Dubai I am pleased to say that this weekend I will be able to see my youngest granddaughter :)

My middle son Adam and his wife Kirsty live in Dubai and are home for Christmas and are bringing Amelia who was born in September!

Rules Evening
