Callaway Fitting Day

Last week we had the Callaway Fitting Day which was a massive success. The rep from Callaway came down with all new Callaway kit including the Big Bertha and the XR ranges. Everyone found improvements from their current clubs and some so much decided to buy the equipment their and then!

Fitting Days

Due to the success of our recent club fitting we are going to hold one using all our fitting kit and launch monitor. Our own fitting day will involve all the kit we've got in the shop so all the best from Cobra, Nike, Callaway, PING, Wilson Staff and Lynx. So rather than just getting the best from 1 brand you'll get the best from a few, and find out truly what clubs best suit you.

You don't have to spend any money, all we ask is you show up on the day!

Friday 19th June - 1pm-5pm

Saturday 13th June - 1pm-4pm

The spaces for our last couple of fitting days filled up fast so be sure to book in early through the pro shop!!

Course Closed on Tuesday

You may remember how rainy it was on Tuesday morning, and may already know the course was completely shut all day due to the heavy rain. On the day we were supposed to have the Ladies Invitation Day which is usually such a great day. It was a real shame to have it called off! The pictures show the extent of how wet it actually was. We had a few more water hazards on the course than usual the course was simply unplayable.

Club Competitions

Last Tuesday the ladies took part in a stableford competition with an alternative 9-hole comp. We had an impressive turnout of 68 ladies with 56 of them taking part in the main competition. These 56 ladies were split into 2 divisions. In division 1 Mary Stanton managed 33 points which was good enough for 2nd place as she was narrowly beaten by Gillian Mellor who scored 34 points. Penny Smith came 2nd in division 2 with 35 points, but in 1st place and overall winner was Mrs Patricia Harmston who scored a very good 36 points. Saturday came the turn of the men who played a PGA National Pro Am Qualifier. James Otter came in 3rd place with nett 73, narrowly beaten by The Captain who scored 72, but out in the lead with a very nice nett 70 was Tom Kirk. That's sort of back to back wins for Tom who won a mid-week comp a couple of weeks ago and this was his first comp since. I'll wantTtom to keep up the good form as he will now be playing with me in a Pro-Am in Formby next month.
